Caroline Schwippert - German Teacher
Caroline joined Greenwich Steiner school in October 2010 as a German teacher. Prior to having children she worked in Amsterdam as a foreign languages teacher both with grown-ups and children. She has studied speech communication and technology at the University of Amsterdam with French and Biology as subsidiary subjects and speech processing and dyslexia as a focus. She has a Master's degree from UvA.
After secondary school she did a Steiner Gap year in Driebergen, near Utrecht in the Netherlands. After this rich experience, it was not difficult to find the way to Steiner education when her children were of kindergarten age back in 2008. This inspired her to join the school as a language teacher a few years later. Regarding her teaching Caroline says
I find it a privilege to work with and get to know the children and I love being able to sing with them every day. I enjoy spending time outdoors growing vegetables with each class 3 and adding other practical experiences to the children's daily school life.
