A graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, Joel has many years’ experience as a professional conductor and has worked with choirs and vocal ensembles across the UK and abroad. He is in increasing demand as a workshop leader and has led singing weeks in Portugal and Italy, as well as teaching choral courses in France alongside Francis Steele, the celebrated bass of the Tallis Scholars and The Sixteen. Joel enjoys the opportunity to work for the Association of British Choral Directors, in the coaching of choirmasters and conductors.
oel has adjudicated numerous choir competitions, including Legal Harmony and Fiscal Harmony, which celebrate workplace choirs of all musical genres.
In addition to his work with adult choirs, Joel has led numerous singing programmes for young singers across London and the South East. He has played an active role in the musical life of Blackheath and Greenwich for the past ten years and is committed to developing singing opportunities in this exciting part of London.
