With over eighteen years in teaching, Gyda has had a varied and colourful teaching history. This is her seventh year at Greenwich Steiner School, during which time, she has been both a Class Teacher and a Learning Support Teacher.
Hamish Clark holds a BA Honours in American Literature from Canterbury University and a Diploma of Primary Education from AUT, both in New Zealand, and a Diploma in Steiner Education from the London Waldorf Teacher Training Seminar. He has spent the last 12 years working in schools in Germany, South-East Asia and the United Kingdom. Prior to becoming a teacher he was a professional musician, music producer and freestyle rapper; writing, recording, releasing and performing music around the world. As an independent scholar studying the history of educational approaches, he has spent the last decade investigating deeply the ways in which we educate our children and collecting and collating the materials we use to do it.
Sarah has Masters in History of Art and French from the University of Saint Andrews (2001) and a PGCE from Homerton College Cambridge (2004). She has completed the Steiner Teacher Training Seminar at Steiner House and is enjoying being back in the classroom after a break of 7 years when she was a stay at home mum.
Sarah has worked in a wide range of different types of schools, both state and private, both as a classroom teacher and a subject teacher but is really looking forward to working in a Steiner School and gaining practical experience to compliment her Steiner Training.
Mrs Zenit joined GSS as a Class Teacher in 2005 is taking her third class through the Lower School years at GSS. She has a BA Psychology, an MA in Community Development majoring in Research and Planning, a Diploma in Waldorf Teaching and studied Eurythmy for a year in London.
Maritiza trained as a professional viola player at the London Trinity School of Music and initially developed a performing career. She was also one of the early parents of GSS and took responsibility for developing the music teaching in the school.
Lucy initially trained in the mainstream sector and began her teaching career in a London primary school. After taking a break to have children she trained to become a Steiner Teacher at the London Teaching Seminar and joined GSS as a member of staff in 2013.
Miss Coutinho has many years experience as a Steiner Waldorf Class Teacher. She has taken several classes through the Lower School years but has specialised in recent years in teaching Classes 6,7 and 8. She began her career at South West London Steiner School after first qualifying as a solicitor.
Miss Martha joined GSS as our Handwork Teacher in September 2014. Educated at the Ringwood Steiner School, she has a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design from Chelsea College of Art and Design, and graduated with her BA (Hons) Textile Design from the prestigious Central St Martins College of Art and Design.
Miss Zaludova is originally from the Czech Republic. She completed her four years training as a Eurythmy Teacher at the London College of Eurythmy in 2010. She has further studied at the Institute of Eurythmy in the Workplace in Holland and Egypt.
Kevin has been at GSS since 2008. He was a national level gymnast and community musician before becoming involved with Steiner education. He has completed his four year Bothmer Movement training, which covers the Steiner approach to movement and physical education.
Norma joined GSS in 2007 as an Assistant Kindergarten Teacher and became a Teacher in 2009 after completing the Steiner Waldorf Earl Years Teacher Training in London. Norma has a BA in Contemporary Media Practice, an MA in Art and Design and an MPhil in Photographic Archive Research.
Antonietta originally trained as a nursery nurse in her native Italy, progressing to teach theory and practice on continual professional development courses. She became involved with Steiner education when she came to London.
KG Teacher, Cherry Tree Kindergarten & Designated Safeguarding Lead
Blanca first joined GSS as a Kindergarten Assistant in 2010 taking on the role of Kindergarten Teacher in September 2014. Blanca has a BA Child Psychology from Mexico. She previously owned her own Early Learning Centre also in Mexico and was its Education Director.
