How we are run

Leaders and governors are effective in ensuring that all the requirements for the independent school standards and the early years foundation stage are met.

The overall responsibility for the day to day running of our school lies with the Headteacher Adrian Dow. He is supported by Deborah Cassidy (Early Years Manager) and Gyda Jonsdottir (SENCO).

However, the senior team, teachers and administrative staff work in a collegial and collaborative way to develop and deliver good quality Steiner education that meets the needs of all the children in our care.

A Governors Board carries responsibility for the financial and legal running of the school and oversees the work of the Head-teacher.  The current Governors are parents or ex-parents of the school although we are always looking for external Governors (i.e. with no personal connection to the school).

If you are interested in becoming a Governor of GSS, please contact the company secretary for more information and an application pack.

Greenwich Steiner School is an educational charity and company limited by guarantee.

Governors are keen to ensure that they fulfill their duties, and have ensured that statutory policies to guide the school’s work are up to date.
